Your pictures are badass, but not as incredible as your poetry. Lacey, I just wanted to admit that you are a wonderful poet that has such passion and desire. You’re truly inspirational; especially to me personally. I would love for you to come to my college town, Athens, Georgia, and perform. It would mean the world to me. You are truly beautiful on the inside and out and seeing you live would be unbelievable.
Lacey, for years I thought that the only way to get somewhere in life was to lose weight, put on makeup and attempt to be who I thought everyone else wanted me to be. For the past year all I’ve been trying to do is change that in my head. I just discovered slam poetry a few weeks ago, but the way you deliver your message whether people are willing to hear it or not is so inspiring. Your poems left me speechless, and I realized that the girl for so many years that I was trying to be is not the girl I know myself to be. You change lives I’m sure, and in my case you’ve helped turn mine around. You are beautiful, your life is beautiful, and you’re spirit is beautiful. The first time i saw you prefom, I started crying, and I wasnt even there in person, it was on youtube. Would you ever consider coming to houston?
