Jesus I have watched “Parts…” probably 10 times in the last 24 hours….and I cry. Every time I watch it I cry.
Lacey,you are a huge inspiration. i love your outlook on life and your poems. you and a few others came to my highschool and read some of your poems and stuff…unfortunately,i didnt attend this assembly.. A friend just recently suggested that i look you up and ive pretty much fallen in love with your work. it’s so amazing. being gay, i wish i had the courage you do to just…put yourself out there like that. it’s fricken fantastic.. Hopefully some day ill be able to come out to everyone and be as fearless as you. your work really comes from the heart…and there have been multiple times i have teared up at your differnt works. i was just telling my friend how as you guys were leaving my school, i saw you all in a group walking and taking your stuff to the car..u walked right past me and i had no clue how truly talented you are at the time… now i look back and i say to myself “you were within four feet of such a talented young woman and you didnt even know it. now i wish i had like..an autograph..or even shot a smile your way or something. cuz you are definitely amazing. keep it up. you’re talented.
